I can see now the "dictators" refused to listen to anyone's input and made yet another unfair edict by reducing the number of posts required for advertising in the classifieds section. oh yeah , they are just a bunch of mini-Hitlers here.

After reading all the posts regarding this subject, I felt like responding myself. I have had my 2000 Trans Am since September, 2000. I love the car, have been slowing modifying it, and have been able to research a ton of things about the car and the modifications from this website.

Now, I don't have a large number of posts either, but I'm trying to be more active in participating. That does not mean that I have not visited this site numerous times before to research and learn about mods and problems with the car. This site has proven to be invaluable!!

On the subject of buying and selling: I follow the time honored tradition of "Buyer Beware". If I'm going to buy something, I'm going to make sure I feel comfortable about who is selling it. I try to get some contact information and I also provide my own contact information. I understand the need to protect the innocent people that have been scammed, but until I reach the minimum post count, I will be treated unfairly.

My only point is that people need to be sure who they are buying from and protect themselves. If you feel like someone is scamming, then don't buy from them. Make sure you have a way to get back in touch with that person in case there's a problem. I prefer to do trading locally, as Houston has a large F-body populace. However, I realize that may not work for everybody or even every situation I'm in.

One last nod to the administrators: I truly appreciate the interest you have shown in trying to work up viable solutions to a very frustrating problem. I believe that 99.9% of the members approve of how you run this board. It's a big job, I'm sure!! Thank you.
