i'm the kind of person that wouldn't wait on something like this. screwed it if people say they know him, you don't & that is all that matters. go take him to small claims court. it doesn't cost that much & it will definately go in your favor as long as you have all your documents. some small claims will also make him pay for your court costs. its been 4 months now & any court will see you have waited long enough. if he doesn't show up to small claims it will automatically go in your favor & he will have to pay. just because he mailed it what ever way he did, still doesn't matter. you will get your money back that way. make sure you have copies of emails, pms, & this thread also. i say screw being nice because nice doesn't seem to work very well with some people on here.

This is some true bullshit, Jeff get your act together, I should not be the one waiting here, it does not matter if you sent the rotors or they got lost,YOU did not insure them I should not have to pay for this. Mrr23 I am pretty sure Jeff has me on his ignore list, or he is just not coming on the site anymore, anyway tell your chickenshit friend to man up and do the right thing.

Interesting thread to read.

As a buyer, I always try to pay with a credit card when using paypal. More protection than going through their bs claim process if a seller screws you out of the product.

As a seller however, I primarily use a personal paypal acct which only takes paypal or bank transfers. (similar to the one in this case I think). Most people have no problem paying this way because of my 100% ebay fb and all very positive comments.

On occasion, some buyers insist on paying with a credit card. For this, I offer them to cover the additional 3.xx% that paypal charges (I have 2 accounts with PP) and will take the CC payment instead.

If a buyer is willing to pay this additional amount, yet the seller refuses to accept it, that should raise some flags. The buyer should stay far far away from such sellers.

I'm glad the buyer in this case finally got his money back. I do feel he went through way too much BS to recover it.

why? because the seller had to wait for USPS to get off their *** and finally reund him the money? granted communication was lacking on jeff's part. but, the buyer did get his money back. jeff was also covering himself for being scammed as well. who's to say the buyer wasn't trying to get the rotors and his money? ever think of that? now, it's obvious he wasn't jeff was protecting his interest as well. now don't go getting this all wrong. neither person was scamming the other. jeff waited until USPS refunded him.

This is the last I will comment on this. I just want to thanks to those who helped me, for me it never was about the money but about the principal. This is what can happen when a person decides to cheap out on shipping, UPS would have been able to confirm delivery, and we all know how shitty the US Postal system is. In case it is settled and that is that.
