Default Paypal issues

I have bought a few things from 2-3 members and my paypal account has screwed all up. First they said the bank account was closed (e-check is how I normally do it) then I used my credit card so the transaction would go through instantly thinking I had something wrong with my valvetrain so I could get it fixed ASAP and they said the card was stolen. So I had to give them my savings account info, They called my house to verify I was the one with the card. We had a 3-way with the Credit card people...(First Premier Bank)...I am now waiting on it to be verified...they said it should takke 2-3 business days 3-4 days ago...they still haven't deposited anything in the account, the .13 and .14 cents that they do just to verify the account is yours, so I can't do anything with my paypal. Paypal went and "took back" funds that I can show via bank statements were paid. I just wanted to let you know that if we have done business in the last 2-3 weeks and this happens to you...I am TRYING to get it straightened out ASAP. I will keep everyone updated as much as possible. As far as I know there is only 2 members that this has happened to so if you & I haven't discussed it...or if we have and you want to post here...doesn't matter to me...let me know via this thread or by pm. Either way as it really doesn't matter to me. This WILL get worked out ASAP...I promise.

If you would like pictures of the bank statement pm me or post it up...just psting this up before the **** hits the fan...I hope it doesn't and we can all get this worked out before it happens. I have done business on here with several people and I believe they can/will vouch for me.

And if anyone needs to contact me...my cell # is 870-413-9304. Leave a message if you can't me...I am an engineer for a railroad company and I am in and out of town and service. I will get back with you as soon as possible though. Thanks for your patience, hopefully we can get this over with as quitely and quickly as possible.

Thanks alot,

Byron Taylor

i think the Paypal people are the most hard-headed people on earth right now. They are trying to say i am doing an "internet scam" with a stolen credit card...with my name on it...that I pay the bills on...that's in my SSN...hmmm let's see lmao. It won't take long for this to get straightened out I hope. I don't have the $$4 in my paypal account and the other people involved don't either...so they are the ones IMO doing the scamming...but thats just my point of view and I'm just a stupid ol' country boy to them...lol

BTW...just so everyone knows. None of the parts I have for sale are tied up in this in any way what-so-ever. I wouldn't do that. I forgot to add that.

Yeah... Paypal tries to do stuff to limit scammer activity, but with such a huge number of transactions, sometimes they make mistakes, and let some scammers through with no problems, while innocent people get stuck with a bunch of hassle instead.

I could see where trying to manage x million # of accounts would get tricky/confusing. I'm not trying to scam though, just wanted to make anyone/everyone aware of the problem at hand. Like I said before...call or pm me, I get on here every 2-3 days AT LEAST and I will not try to avoid you and will get back in touch with you asap. If you look up my last few posts normally I will say when I leave town and when I'm home. I do not have internet access while away from home so I am limited as to how much time I can spend on here. That's probably a good thing though because I wouldn't get a damned thing done.

Anyway...I'll keep eberyone updated and take care of this as soon as paypal will let me. If anyone needs proof I can/will send the emails to where I had to reverify the bank accounts, credit card accounts and phone verification if you have any doubt whatsoever.

Thanks again for all your patience,

Byron Taylor

I just wanted to let everyone know the byrontaylor used PayPal to buy some things from me just a couple of weeks ago. No buying issues here as of then.

I hope you get it all worked out soon.

Good to see someone so willing to step forward and let people know what is going on publicly and to keep people aprised of the situation to avoid any miscommunication and any misconceptions. This is what we like to see!! Great job so far!

I hate to do this byron, but I hope you are going to compensate me for the damage to my heads that you sent back to me. When I opened the box, they were not properly protected, now I am looking at $120-220+ per head to get the surfaces fixed. There are several nicks and gouges in the heads now. One head is much worse than the other, so hopefully one will be cheaper to fix.

I pulled the heads outof the box at the shop, and put them right back in and shipped them back to you since we had our confusion about the heads and what they were/weren't. When I saw the 4.8L stamped on them instead of 5.3L and checked the valve sizes I put them right back in. the heads did have insurance on them so maybe UPS can work something out, let me know how much it will be and I will take care of it. Shouldn't be anymore than $200, that is the price quote I got for having them polished/ported more than are already.

Also the valve springs didn't look to be "brand new" Comp 918's...they didn't look to Comps at all as a matter of fact. I checked them against the others that I had bought when I was just going to use my heads. Just so you know.

The only thing that I was wrong about with these heads was the intake valves.
They were 2.00 instead of 2.02. The springs, retainers, and vavles were all new. The springs are 918s and the retainers go along with the springs. But none of this matters now. I just wasn't very happy to recieve my heads back damaged. I don't doubt that you put the heads right back in the box. But there was no packing material around the top of the heads, so they were just thrown around and hit against each other. According to ups and the guy that shipped the heads for you, there is no insurance. I will let you know on thursday what the cost to have the resurfaced is. I am taking them back to pete incoto to be fixed. He gave me a quote over the phone. The first $120 is if the damage isn't too bad, and if it is bad enough it will be $220, due to the diffent type of cut it will need.
