Default NotRiceAnymore falsely claimed he was scammed by 69TA

So I paid this guy paypal for a rear end of a corvette 3.73 diff. He said he was sending the whole rear end, I figured fine. whatever, the price was right. it was supposed to be $575 shipped, and it was. Well turns out I get a camaro or trans am rear end. Who knows, but its only a 10 bolt and WILL NOT fit a corvette. So now I'm COMPLETELY screwed, because I was told I was getting a better part, and I got a piece of crap that was wrapped nicely lol...this stinks. I hope everyone else will learn from my mistake, as I'm now out $575!!!

And you may ask how legitimate I am? I own www.importimageracing.com and I sell car parts (over $50,000 per month) it stinks to get burned. and burned I am.

Regards,

Josh

Sorry to hear of your troubles...but honestly if you sell over $50k in parts PER MONTH, why would you buy used parts? I would buy new, direct and forget the hassles.

because I wanted a cheap rear diff that I can install upgraded input + ouput shafts and gears in. and 575 was a good deal for what I thought I was getting.

Im getting rid of the corvette anyway and buying a new z06...thats not the point, the point is that I'm OWN3D by this dude.

I know of this story and all I can say is hopefully things work out.
I will add this shipping is about 150-175 on a rear as I have shipped 4 of these from my shop and have had quite a few shipped to me from moser.
That means 400 was paid for the rear, and that is a ton for a F body rear. they normally sell for 150-200 max.

Do you have a link for this transaction? I looked through his threads, and couldn't find him listing this. He has 27 positive ratings, so it'll be in your best interest to back your side up some more. I'm not taking sides or anything, just saying.

This guy obviously did not know what he was buying or better yet bought then has the nerve to blame me for it. In my original f/s post I clearly stated what it was and where it came from.

4 channel abs/tcs 3.73 rearend from an 02 WS6 with low miles. Hopefully someone who saw the post will chime in.

And then on top of it all he knew I was having problems getting the rearend delivered to his door (residence) as it was too heavy with axles and I even had to take the axles out to be shipped seperately.

There was no misadvertisement or misrepresentation on my part. You just did not know what the hell you were buying. I clearly stated in my for sale post what it was that I was selling and where it came from. Take a look at my seller history and posts on this board. I never once ever said this thing was for a Corvette. The word Corvette does not even show up in any posts for that matter.

Besides when a pair of solid axles showed up at your place. Didn't you think something was not right then? Why didn't you say hey what's up with the solid axles? What are they for? My car has an IRS with half shafts not solid axles. So why the solid shafts?

At that point, seeing how I had to re-crate the housing I might have been able to call off the shipping for the housing.

Besides, you never once mentioned, asked or said that it was for a Corvette. And as for your sig. What does that mean? You know how many PM's I got on this rear and for other parts that I have listed? What was I suppose to do? Check everyone's sigs. Mine is 69TA does that mean that everything I buy and sell is for a 1969 Trans Am? When you go into the store and buy clothes that don't look like they would fit you or your gender do they ask you if you are buying the right clothes? When you goto the auto parts store and grab oil or an air cleaner off the shelf do they ask you what engine it's for? No, you have to ask them? What am I a mind reader. You seemed like you knew what you what the hell you were doing.

I am really sorry that you bought the wrong part. That is a good rearend that you have and it's a real shame that you bought it for nothing. I put a lot of time and effort into building and crating this thing TWICE and also got into an arguement with DHL over the weight and size limitations, ect to ship it to your door. Nobody ever ships a rear with posi to your door. You know how heavy that thing was? I even took a loss on the additional shipping charges and materials for building the damm skid.

So it's not my responsibility nor my fault if you were not fully understanding of the part you were buying. You NEVER once asked or said anything.

The best thing you should do now is just relist it in the for sale section. Someone down in your area (FL) will have a use for it and will buy it from you. This is a low mileage rear with new 3.73 gears, Four channel rearend with all new bearings is not a cheap rear by any means.

Just to switch over to 3.73 gears with install kit, new bearings, seals and labor was $550+

With Regards,
Kevin

I was going to purchase the rear from Kevin before this guy did. Now here is what he told me. He informed me that the rear was a 373 rear out of a camaro or trans am. I really don't see how you can be so asanine to go ahead and flame Kevin when you were a moron. Now Kevin mentioned multiple times that it was not a Corvette rear but an fbody rear. I was going to go pick it up, but didn't have the 400, and found another one for 150. Kevin was a stand up guy in the transaction I almost had with him and we talked 3-4 times on the phone. Now if your not going to take the time to realize what your buying then don't try to do business. Kevin was a great guy, and this should be known by his 27 positives.

Since you own that website, here is some constructive critisism: Fix the pictures. Pictures are too small and fuzzy.

DAMN why yah trying to put a 10 bolt fomr a fbody in a vette

seems like the guy who sold this to yah has real life friends that

think highly of him.

maybe seek some help from someone more knowledgable

than yourself or get bigger hammer!?!?

thats crazy 50k a month with import parts!

how much of that turns to be profit?

i was thinking about making a muffler out of old folgers

cans and calling it the perculator or DA' perculator

it will have a 1" inlet and 8" outlet and fill it full

of bb's to give it a unique sound. DONT DISS MY IDEA

tci made the RATTLER harmonic balancer .

While we are on the subject... aren't you the gentleman I bought a bunch of t-bolt clamps from for my high boost project and they all showed up the wrong size? Then I paid to ship them back and you accepted them, then refused to replace them or give me my money back? And, in my case, I knew what I was trying to purchase and even gave you exact part numbers for the clamps.

I've dealt personally with 69TA(Kevin) a number of times. He's always been straight forward and honest. Actually, I had spoken to him about this rear prior to my upgrade. It was more than obvious what the rear was for seeing as it was posted that it was for the F Body. So before calling people scammers try reading what is written to you. Perfect reason to watch who you're selling to....

Looks like he's just changing the dimensions large images display at, instead of making separate physically-resized thumbnail images (which would be smooth instead of jagged).

It also looks kinda odd to have empty categories visible.

Anyway, sounds like 69TA's side of the story has more credence than NOTRICEANYMORE's.

I make a good amount of profit...Who cares what I make, that has nothing to do with it....back to the story,

If I wasnt being scammed, who sells a $100-200 stock rear end for 575 bucks? thats insane. Why would I want a stock piece of **** rear end for a car that I dont have?

Oh well, Its obvious I
A. Won't get my money back
B. Have the wrong parts
C. Completely lost interest in these cars

I've done over 1000 online transactions with many happy customers, I've only had 1 customer in the history of my online parts business that wasnt happy, and you know what happened? he received his money back. Why? Because I stand behind my company/business, unlike the scam artist here...

I'm tired of this stuff, its over, Im not going to kick and scream, Nothing will come of it. As most people here are friends, and I'm never on this website. I'm simply going to sell all my BRAND NEW corvette parts, and my PIECE OF **** stock Fbody rear end that I was A$$ RAPED on, and Buy a new z06. Yeah, That will make me feel better.

Thanks for the criticism, coming from someone who can't even spell the word
