Default Bad seller - michaelsvt03

Here is a link to the "for sale" post:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/lsx-parts-sale/481490-ls6-take-off-parts-f-s.html

I was one of the first 2 people to respond to his post. The first to respond for the injectors. I posted asking for his Paypal address twice. He PM'ed me today with this:

i already sold the injectors last night. sorry i wasn't really paying any attention that you were first.
This is all I can say: You weren't "paying attention"? That is an excuse of a 3 or 4 year old...grow up.

I didn't call DIBS, I asked for his Paypal to pay him for the part. Either way, I think it's ridiculous you post parts for sale, then negate the first person that wants to pay you for an item.

Due to some past issues with people replying to ads and calling "dibs", which is basically claiming all rights to a sale, we wish to post our policy on this subject.

"Calling dibs" isn't valid here. There are many reasons for this.

1. Seller has the ultimate right to sell to whoever he chooses, as well as the right to refuse to sell to someone for whatever reason.

2. Seller could have this item advertised in the regional forum, classified forum, and maybe 10 other websites and the local newspaper. Its impossible to claim "dibs" on a sale that you might not have seen first. You might be the first to reply in a thread, but that doesn't mean 10 people have already emailed the seller about it.

3. Calling "dibs" sometimes makes other potential buyers lose interest in the sale. This really sucks when the guy calling "dibs" is just a dreamer or is trying to lowball the seller, and ends up not buying the item. The other buyers will probably be long gone by then, and have bought similar items from someone else.

So, please keep in mind that "calling dibs" on something does NOT guarantee you the sale of the item. Therefore, do not waste your time calling dibs. Just send a PM or email to the seller and discuss things privately. Once your sale is 100% confirmed and you sent the funds, you may reply that it is sold to you.

Thanks.
You may not know the full story, someone may have offered him more for them. He doesnt have to tell you the real reason. Sucks I know, its happened to me on a fairly rare/needed item on here, but thats life.

I was 2nd in line for them behind you, and he didn't sell them to me. I asked if I could get at them if you didn't get them and the next day they were posted as sold. We both posted on them within 10 minutes of his initial post, too. I think its BS as well. I just saw a set of 28 pounders with less than 1k miles go for just over $20 on ebay, so its not like they were an incredible steal anyways.

Being a seller i have to stress it is a very hard job to try to keep up with everyone. Sometimes people dont pay immediately, and thats what sellers want. We dont want alot of broken promises etc. You stated you asked him for his Paypal address, and for whatever reason they were sold already. Atleast he was kind enough to let you know they were sold (Some sellers arent even that courteous) so in a sense I dont think you should flame him for being a "Bad Seller" its not like he ripped you off, that would be a major issue. Its not an "EBAY" auction and again there are no "DIBS" so take it for what its worth.

I only post this as its not easy being a seller trying to please "EVERYONE" on the internet.

Yep, it's tough. If I post on here for something to be sold though, I sell it here. More than likely someone offered him more $. People are just plain greedy.

Actually only a 3 or 4 year old would be crying because he didn't get a stock set of injectors. Is it really that big of a deal to cry like a little baby. So u grow up.

I don't know...is it that big of a deal that you're greedy and made an extra $5 or $10 by selling them to someone else?

plus just because somebody didn't write anything on the post doesn't mean i didn't get a pm. because that is what happened. i got it about the same time you did. so if you want to complain about it go right ahead. i am not going to act like a kid and argue about something stupid.

Thats what I do, PM the individual when I want to buy a part, sometimes I MIGHT post "you have a PM". Just my 2 cents.
