I know for a fact that Keith knows Dave Emmanuel (owner of Random Technology, as I do too. Dave will tell you himself that the torque arm may indeed break. So far so good for those of you who have ground them to fit, and haven't had any problems. Looking it over, I wouldn't want to risk my car if I were running sub 1.50 sixty ft. times with that torque arm.
For those of you who think Keith is
, remember, all PSJ had to do, was disclose this modification before he sold it to Keith, and the "sale" would have never happened. There wouldn't be any problems now. I hope no one ever "forgets" to mention something like this to any of you.Tony

PSJ, if Keith is filling us with crap, let us know.
I know for a fact that if I was running some beast like what KH is describing... I would have loved to know that something that important had been modified (IE clearanced). If there was absolutly no mention of clearencing before the purchase, hes got every right to be pissed, and if in fact a read reciept was thrown to me with no reply for a week, I would have slammed him with a Paypal complaint even faster the KH did.
Glitch77, Thank you for your words i was begining to think everyone was on crazy pills
2) We clearanced the torque arm (I checked with Hacker Joe) in 2000.
3) I have about 500 passes on the torque arm.
4) Tell Dave Emmanuel or anyone at R/T, they sell a great bar and I would have reused it for my T400 conversion if I had any idea that the new torque arm needed so many modifications to fit (Alston). So if R/T want's to bash the one I have they look pretty stupid since I think it works extremely well.

5) My torque arm was clearanced under the direction of someone who ran Pro Mod Nostalgia so quite honestly your comments don't have as much credibility.
6) I sent the torque arm without even cleaning it so you could get it fast.
7) I again forgot it was clearanced otherwise I would disclosed that, but I would not have lowered the price at all.
8) I didn't call you about the transaction since you wanted it fast.
9) I did not get any emails about the clearancing of the torque arm until I got back from camping in the Ottawa National Forrest... I returned on July 6th and then logged onto the Internet on July 7th.
10) I'm sorry that this deal did not work out, but you are a baby for filing a complaint and I would be more than happy to say that to your face. Feel free to stop by my office so I can tell you that. Some people are just a pain in the ***. You sent me an email like every day about the torque arm and you later think I am going to screw you on $230. How old are you? You must have a poor view of our world since it's pretty damn obvious that I am an owner of the site.
When I get the torque arm back, I'm assuming you sent it back to Speed Inc., I will send you payment back... I'll take a pic of the clearanced part and then I have to drop off the torque arm to the local guy who has seen my car do 1.5 foot wheelstands for the last couple of years.
Oh and I noticed your wormy comment about my 11.0's in the car, like I said, you are a baby. Maybe I will come to Bristol Bash... Oh wait, I drove my car from Chicago to Bristol in 2000 with that horrible clearanced R/T tq arm, ran about 20 times, came in second for NA, and was the only LS1 to lift the tires off the ground (just a little bit hehe)...
Bristol Pic...

Have a nice day.
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
I never wrote that Dave was bashing his product, I wrote that he said it "may" break. Can you read? It seems all along on this post that you don't read anything in full.
>>>5) My torque arm was clearanced under the direction of someone who ran Pro Mod Nostalgia so quite honestly your comments don't have as much credibility.<<<
Would I have more credibility if I told you I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night? Or if I told you that I had an Aerospace Engineer, who is subcontracted by NASA, talk to me over the phone and tell me that the arm might break due to fluctuations in the warp core of the mild steel tubing?
You really lack credibility. No Pro Mod racer is going to grind ANY part of his chassis and run the speed that they do. They wouldn't pass tech, and would be thrown off of the track. I know you passed tech, but face it, you haven't even gotten into the 10's, so most of the time the grinding you performed would be overlooked.
>>>7) I again forgot it was clearanced otherwise I would disclosed that, but I would not have lowered the price at all.<<<
There you go, once again YOU forgot. I know Keith would not have tried to renegotiate the price of the arm with the grinding on it. He would have passed on buying it altogether. Once again, that makes ALL of this YOUR fault. You sold him a bum part, and you DESERVE any and all negative feedback that you get since you didn't disclose the grinding. How does he know that you "forgot"? He sent the money to you in good faith, and you dropped the ball. Face it John, YOU ARE WRONG!!!!!

So what you are the owner of the site. The fact that you didn't mention the grinding removes any so called credibility that you think you have.
You make comments about how Keith should call you or come to your office, funny thing is, this site is the only contact he can make with you. You never sent him you address or phone number.
Why don't you send him your address and phone number? What are you trying to hide? Scared? Hell, you have his number, why don't you call him? Scared?...Yeah I knew it.

Again I agree, I forgot we clearanced it, that's why I IMMEDIATELY agreed to take it back.
Now, on to those personal comments. kllrvett I get 100 emails a day. A day. Not spam, real emails. I also have a 9-5 job. I'm not afraid of you or KH, I won't get specific but anyone who knows me knows I am not a little guy NOR a *****. So stop trying to create a fire where there is none. I'm not in the least bit skeered. I'm not sure who you are but I've been around this scene since late 1997 and I have tried not to be an ******* and I think would be considered an okay guy by most people.
But I am annoyed that someone filed some gay little complaint and then has the ballz to say I read emails before I left. Don't you people have any patience?
And furthermore who created this forum I DID.
I don't recall when you got the torque arm but the last time I think I logged onto the internet was either Friday June 27th (for sure) but possibly Saturday the 28th midday since I got up at 4am on the 29th to drive to Watersmeet Michigan.
We can do this all day but it's hard to twist this stuff on me since I in fact operate in good faith on stuff. In my opinion you overreacted KH when I went on vacation and you did not hear from me, but don't be a baby and say I read the emails BEFORE I left. I distinctly recall reading your emails about the clearancing on Monday from work and thinking "oh crap we did clearance the bracket I'm gonna call HJoe right now."
John knows he is wrong for not mentioning the clearancing done on the T/A, but it was an honest mistake and was done a while back. He forgot about it. He also never told Keith that he wouldn't honor a refund. Keith just got impatient and acted as if someone was blatantly telling him to screw off, when in fact he SHOULD have just posted this message here to get John's attention instead of filing a complaint thru paypal. That was just GAY, and should have been the last resort.
Lessons:
1. Ask as many questions as possible when buying a used part.
2. Sellers should inspect all parts before sending them.
3. Have patience before making bad decisions.
