Dude I see NO evidence of porting in those pics. This is what a ported head looks like....

And yes, this is a set of 5.3 heads that have actually been port/polished. Look in his pics of all the casting areas that aren't even smoothed out compared to mine. Even if the heads were lightly ported the casting would be smoothed out at least.

If you thought those were ported when you installed them you had absolutely no idea what you even had to begin with.

Intake port

Exhaust port

Combustion chamber w/valves

badmouthing or not, money should be sent back to the buyer before he even sends those heads back to you.

Were pictures taken of the heads prior to the sale?
Flowbench numbers sent to the seller?
Shop who ported them?

I would not even consider buying heads without these elements in play.

Glad to see your making good with the buyer. For future reference study my pics above so you know what your looking at next time. If someone says they are ported & they don't look smoothed out like in the pics, then they are not ported.

You should refund the whole amount to him. If you don't have the money currently, just tell him it will take you X amount of time to give him his refund. As as far as you not knowing that the heads weren't ported...doesn't matter! You sold them as ported heads! Because whether you know it or not, your falsely adverting.

If somebody sold me an LS6 intake and I didnt even check if it WAS an ls6 intake, and i decided to sell it later as an LS6 intake for $400.00, and THEN that buyer did his researched and found out that it was a basic 50.00 LS1 intake, its not the BUYERS fault!!! And i just cant say, " Oh, well the dude that sold it to me said it was an ls6 intake"..... that is completely irrelevant.
