I don't get all the mean posts towards Shorgasm, maybe he was too trusting but some of the comments like the one from NewZ was way over the top.

Freak, your replies back in the other thread were not apologetic you came across a an *******... But who cares, only like a thousand people read the thread right?

All I have to say about this whole thing is that NewZ is a jackass. You wont have to worry about me buying from, or selling you, anything, ever.

Instead of whining about me, shouldn't you be at a UPS store somewhere packing a relay?

Heh... Come on dude, your getting all puffy at me (Mr. ITakeCareOfBuisness) when you (Mr. IDontShipYourStuff) have done the same thing (as have many other people) in either siding with, or against someone else in the feedback forum. Your the one that needs to grow up, not me. And by we, I mean the people that have to listen to you walk both sides of the fence, bitching at others when they dont hold up on their end, while you still havent held up on yours.

--------

I am very sorry to have threadjacked this thing into oblivion, and I take full responsability for it as I did make a wise-crack about the *rimshot* because PSJ had posted in almost jest, I thought the thread was just about over. The only reason I posted about NewZ is because he is a jackass, and I was magnetically drawn to posting my feeling towards him, as he did to the author.

I will try in the future to stay out of B&SF. All thats here is threads about C5 anyhow.

The rule should be...if it isn't in your possession, you can't attempt to sell it.
As already described, unforseen circumstances can shortcircuit the transaction when the item being "sold" doesn't belong to you.

Yup, its not the fact that its illegal or anything, its just that it can (and did) put someone if a terrible crunch, which should have never happened.

It wouldn't have happened if he had common sense and did not sell his wheels beforehand!

The major point here is that the buyer is being placed at the mercy of a third party, without the knowledge or consent of the buyer. It is the seller's obligation to inform the buyer of any risk. As demonstrated in this thread, there was/is definite risk involved.

Yeah, really... at what point is an apology and cease and decist not enough.

Look, man, I think it's time you let this die... He's more than made his ammends, doesn't sell anything on the boards anymore, and Ithink enough's enough...

Let it go man...

Further beating a dead horse...

First off.. I agree, John.. My comments were *cough* a little over the top. For that I apologize.

I think the reason you're seeing so many comments against Shorgasm is no one was out any money. He should have known better than to sell his stock wheels. Everyone's in agreement of that fact. He's just taking his frustrations out in this thread three months after the fact. It's both unnecessary and uncalled for.

I think Tony (NineBall) pointed out, it's not an issue of being illegal, it's an issue of circumventing the paying vendors. That I can understand and support.

Second, this wheel thing (because that's the issue at hand) isn't much different than anything the paying vendors do. Very few business' can afford to warehouse all the parts they sell. It's very common. However, if he paid an advertising fee, no one would be crucifying this guy. He forwarded some parts he got cheap, tacked on a "service fee" for the time and money he put into the project, and refunded any and all monies connected to transactions he couldn't complete. Hell, it's not like he held the money for even a day longer than necessary. He was prompt and apologetic. Agreed, once it got posted here egos got involved and the internet toughguy in everyone puffed up his/her chest.

I think the best thing at this point is to lock this thread and put an end to this.

At this point you have to ask yourself, what is the moderators goal for a thread like this? I'd imagine it's two things.

1. To stop the undesirable behavior and/or transaction that's taking place.
2. To make other members aware of the situation and see it come to a swift end.

From what I have gathered, you've stopped FreakZ from selling or buying anything here. You've also had more than a few clicks to this link, MANY posts in response to, and you've wrung every ounce of usefulness out of the post.

Now, to let this post continue is just asking for this to get further out of hand.

I'm pretty sure we can all agree we've accomplished what we set out to do.

I've been a member here a long time. One of the reasons I defected from LS1.com (like most of you old timers ) is everyone here got tired of the drama...

Yeah, that's exactly what happend.

Dude, why be an ***-hole? I think I was pretty decent to apologize. I didn't bring this up. It was dropped into my email when someone else posted in here again.

It's guys like you who make me glad I sold my SS...

Anyway, this is my last post... I think I may be done here as well... I'm one of the most stand up guys on the boards and things like this just ruin this place.. I think I've officially resigned from posting and I'm now a full time lurker...
