ls6 intake question

Default ls6 intake question
aight my car is a 02 ws6 and I know that 01-02s come with the ls6 intake but my car has a ls1 intake so I know that either the owner before me swapped it out.

so my questions are if i was to get a ls6 intake will i need to buy anything else besides the intake? or will i still need to buy the metal rails etc cuz i would think that they left all of that still in the car.

or will it not be possible to mount a ls1 intake into a 01-02 car without having to change anything else? im just trying to figure out if they maybe could of also remove other stuff to get hte ls1 intake to work in my car.

How do you know it is a LS1 and not a LS6 manifold?

i checked the serial number on it and i searched on here and it was apparently from an older ls1 car.

i cant remember the serial number off the top of my head.

IIRC this is what it was The old LS1 intake with the EGR setup is 12560688
cuz it does have the egr thing but its blocked off with a plate

They probably had a fast 90 or something then decided to sell it to make more money off of it. You should be able to just stick an LS6 on without any mod other than the egr unless you buy the one with egr.

thanks yea it sux but im just gonna have to buy one and swap it out for the ls1 one that i have on it.

5w20 is selling one here in Texas for about $300. I deal with him he is an honest guy if you cant find one locally.

If he still has it by the end of the month or early next month I might take it since right now my money went to TT2's.

hes not far away either im in Austin.
