I have two firebird LS1's. The one I just bought..... it takes what seems like forever for the car to get up to running temp, and the heater blows luke warm air. The way I know is my other firebird gets up to running temp WAY quicker and the heat blows nice hot air. Whatsup? Is the thermostat stuck open? Needs a heater core?

Stock water pump right? 160* thermostat or stock? My electric WP seems to flow so well the engine takes a while to heat up and it stays a little chilly while driving (~ 169) in colder temps. Your car might take a long time to get up to operating temp because of a stuck thermo. If the thermo is not stuck and even if it is you should probably try flushing the radiator/heater core to get the heater working better.

It sounds more like a thermostat than anything. If it blows and its warm it's not the heater core and if you try to flush the core itself and there is something in it, it could lodge itself and could clog it up and then you are replacing it and that is not fun at all. The slow warm up also screams thermostat.
Try a thermostat first and see where you are. A coolant flush never hurt either. If there is air in the system it would run hot/over heat.
