Pinging
Pinging HELP! Ok i tried the race fuel trick. (stupid me!!! destroyed my o2s and my cats!!!!) 
But the pinging still exists so I took it to have it checked for exhaust leaks and it came back clean. I have posted a video/audio clip of the car on startup. You can hear the ping very clearly. I was told today it maybe a bad oil pump. I am completely stumped on this one.

You killed your cats and O2's? Sounds like you used leaded race gas,you need to use unleaded race to check for pinging.

Re: Pinging Could be a collapsed lifter. Pinging doesn't usually happen while idling. Is your car a M6 or an auto. Have you done the dreaded miss shift lately, could also be bent pushrods. Hope this helps. Please post mods.

Re: Pinging arent you still under warranty? just a thought but you probably could take it to the dealer and see what they say...its not like you have tons of mods...and none of those should give you knock.

My 2001 TA pings under a load (so did my 2000 SS and my friends 2002 Z28), so I'm going to do the PCV mod.
Let me know what you come up with, I think we have the same issue.
