SES light

Hi guys,

I've got the 'SES' light on.
I've had the ECU / PCM scanned, and know what set it off.
There is a minor problem with the AC, and a very minor inefficency with the manifold that aren't worth fixing.
I had the codes deleated.
Unfortuneatly the SES LIGHT has come back on, (They must of cleared the code, and not been able to deleate it).

Anyone know if the codes can be deleated permanately without fixing the problem?

would help if we knew what the code was.

i would think an AC code could be removed

and what's an "inefficiency with the manifold"?

intake? exhaust? leak?

Sorry, I wish I could answer.
I thought they could be wiped off for good, despite not being fixed?

If the SES is on have the code(s) read again. Just guessing without the code, but "inefficiency" is normally associated with a bad cat, like P0420 or P0430.

you can clear the diagnostic code...but it will come back as soon as that system fails again.

you can tune the computer so that perticular tests are not performed, which will keep the diagnostic codes from being activated.

just clearing them doesn't eliminate the means by which the code is tripped...
