Default HEADERS And STRAIGHT PIPE W/SLP TIPS IN THE CITY...

Let me explain. Now I got this car back from my brother with the headers and SLP tips. I just found out that its straight pipe. I have my old Flowmaster muffler from before, but Ihear they dont flow well. Are there any suggestions on a muffler that I can use that wont let me lose too much power or even help gain power without all the radical noise.
Oh BTW the cops frown at me... alot! And thats with me crusing it. Please Help.
And yes the car was tuned in its current mode!

IMO Dynomax Bullet will quiet it down. Its cheap and has low restriction. OR Hooker Aerochamber for more tone.

morso spiral flows are race mufflers so they have very low restriction and are fairly cheap and will quite it down. Or you could put a set of glasspacks on it if you wanted to go really cheap.

MagnaFlows are too quite for my taste. But, they sound very smooth.

I would run straight pipes into bullets, that would sound mean as hell.

Magnaflow's name has come across the boards alot from other site in the Chi. also Hooker info seemed to be decent too. I know some folks like the noise, but I was brought in the racing family that sound is what it is, but loud dont make fast... I definitely appreciate the info.

if u want cheaper but still sound nice go with a bullet style muffler that goes on the ipipe..its cheap sounds great and all u do to install is 2 cuts in the pipe and stick it in easier than a big mufler

The Hooker I have was very quiet before the mods in sig but I can't sneak up on anybody now It does not drone though and at cruise speeds I can carry on a conversation just fine. It is one of the best flowing chambered mufflers out there. I get lots of complements on it. They make one called a Maxflo too but I have the Aerochamber. I prolly would have gone Magnaflow had I not gotten the Hooker. I just don't care for obnoxiously loud stuff or the attention it brings (cops)
