Default Need some advice

So my project is coming along pretty good...so far. My problem is what to put under the hood. This is a 69 Camaro and I want an LSX T56 combo but don't know which LS motor to go with. I also plan on running twin turbonetics turbos and looking to get around 600-700ish HP. So do I go iron or aluminum block, which heads, etc. I was told that I need a basic LS2 and could build it up to get where I needed to be. The more I read the more confused I get! By the way...I'm in Idaho so take it easy on me. If we were talking potatos here I could find a zillion experts...no such luck for this! Thanks ahead of time for all your help and opinions.

What is you budget? Whitch ever engine you choose you will want it to be forged with a lower compression ratio.

a 408 works nice with an iron block ....or check out speed inc there a sponsor here there shop car is a 383ci - 6.0 Iron block using a Callies Magnum crankshaft, Oliver Rods and custom CP pistons. ETP 255 heads with ARP L19 head studs. Run through a Bell intercooler, and twin Garrett GT72 turbochargers.

i would look into something like an lm7, you can pick up those blocks for close to dirt. bore it out to 5.7 and it will be basically an iron ls1. then just build up everything you want from there. like a maggie, or a turbo set-up

yea i understand, you dont want to spend an unnecessary amount of money. thats why i say the lm7, you can pick up those blocks for like $300 bucks out of a totaled truck or something. buy a nice heads/cam package, with all the crank/lifters/rods/plugs/valves/ect and you will have a very stout engine. just talk to any sponsors on the right ---> like texas speed/lmr/hpe anyone that builds engines, tell them your goals and how much your willing to spend.
