Engine Accel/Decel
I'm curious because I attended Skip Barber about a year ago and grew fond of the vehicles' ability to match revs much quicker than my Z28 (threw me off for a few laps until I got it right
). The LS1 does fine accelerating, but the deceleration seems to "hang" unless I loosen the gear perfectly when I let out the throttle to shift, and even then it has a bit of hesitation during the "rev-match" period. I've been told it has to do with the torque of the engine, but I'm no expert. My end goal is to have a street legal autocross/circuit vehicle (sub-frame connectors are my next buy), sound and ride comfort never bother me, in case this alters your choices. (I actually LIKE the whine of a non-syncho gearbox, and dont mind mechanical noises, as long as it's "supposed" to be clattering)
By cleaning the thottle body you mean...? In all my times of cleaning my air filter I've yet to see anything as far back as the thottle body that warrants cleaning, but then again I haven't really looked.
