Let your computer shift your car for you. That's why you can adjust your shift point,s w/ a hand held tuner.

thats true....it engages something else thats strengthens the first gear. but most these trannys lose 3-4 clutches first.

then retune the auto. if you make it shift at right points, it will be faster. always.

Get a stall and a tune. Enjoy killer acceleration WHILE drinking your favorite soda.

It's good to keep it in 1 when doing the Burnout too..

As far as the ***** go, I've seen people shorten theirs and it actually looked pretty good.

If I had kept my Auto, that is what I would have done.

From what I've seen, you want to launch in 3rd, and before the 2-3 shift put it in OD.
Save the sprag and clutch before you lose a ton of pressure in the lines.

when you drop them in a lower gear ie first or second it will boost the line pressure that why it could prolong the life of the tranny but as far a racing let the pcm do it that what it was designed to do i would also like to see an aftermarket shifter that is a simple bolt in replacement for a 4l60 for the racecar look that retains the factory btsi system come on hurst and b&m lets work on that
