Default 04 Vette LS1 into Miata

I have an LS1 out of a 2004 Corvette that i am putting into my 1990 Miata. To make things easier on myself, i was going to ditch the DBW throttle body and use an F-body one along with wiring harness and MAF. I was told that the F-body harness would work fine, but i would need to change the oil pressure sensor. I was also going to run the 98 coolant temp sensor since it has the 3 wire hookup directly to the gauge on the dash.

So far i have:
Fbody throttle body
Fbody Mass Air Flow meter
1999 Fbody PCM

Am i along the right track, or are these guys not going to play nice together? Also, will any M6 engine harness from 99-02 work? Thanks!

To my knowledge, if you're going to use the 98 f-body temp sensor, you're also going to have to use the 98 pcm.

Hmm, i was reading somewhere that 2 of the wires go to the PCM just like the later years and the 3rd wire goes straight to the gauges on the dash. Weird.

This question would probably get you a better answer in the PCM Diagnostics and Tuning section. To use most of anything from a '98, you only need to repin the pinouts on the PCM connector. The '98 uses different pinouts than 99+. It is very simple and quick to do. You will need a list of the '98 and the '99+ pinouts, which you will find in the engine swap section.

Converting from a '98 to a later model pcm only requires switching the pinouts and changing the fuel gauge segment in the coding using the segment from an Express van pcm. The fuel gauge circuit is the only oddball item, every other sensor and gauge is compatible.
