Default looking for headers

so i didnt get back as much money from my taxes as i hoped for so i wanted to get a set of cheaper headers i was thinking pacesetter flow tech or maybe mac i seen a complete set of mac headers for $520 at the ws6store and a pacesetter set for $570 at maryland speed any suggestions i know pacesetter arnt that bad for the price but im not sure how well mac headers fit or anything. so any suggestions would help im also planing on geting my car tuned and a ram air kit. thanks

Pacesetters are fine, just get the coated ones and you'll be good to go.

yea thats what i was thinking i found a set for $530 shipped with o2 ext y-pipe and coated. has any one installed headers them selfs i heard its not to bad i tryed before on my lt1 and gave up but when i put in my plugs and wires it didnt look to bad.

well i cant image its THAT hard, ive never done it on a newer fbody but i know it will take some time. i will be changing plugs,wires, and motor mounts when i install my headers to kill 4 birds with one stone.

It's much easier on an LS1 than an LT1

Its not that hard of a job. You'll have to put them in through the bottom, just take your time and get a buddy to help if your having a hard time. Also change the spark plugs while the manifolds are off, very easy to do with no exhaust in the way.
