Its really quite simple to do..just do your reasearch and wait for the best deal on a trans set-up. OR find someone who wants to swap across ....that is by far worth waiting for!

It's a modification that totally changes the driving characteristics of the car you may have already modified to your liking in other areas.

And it depends on the deals you can get on an M6, whether or not you can do the work yourself, etc.
Very true.

The main reason I did it was cause I wanted a M6 Car. That and with all the work I have done to it so far, it was pretty easy to do, and just another bit of fun to have with the car.

Yeah, I'd be very happy if I could find someone locally that wanted to do a swap. If I was taking it to the track regularly, it'd already be stalled . But this is my DD, and most of my racing is on the street.

That's the best way to do it. My bud got tired of the M6 with his new found power(Turbo), so once he got a TH400, i purchased his trans and everything to go with it. I got lucky as he gave it to me for $800.

Stalled auto are fun(Been there done that), but there's nothing like rowing though the gears on a nice summer day. GL with ur swap

I paid about $2,800 to swap from an A4 to a M6 in my 93 T/A....it was worth the money.

parts will cost you roughly $1800-$2000 - labor around $500.

don't know if it would matter, but if you go from an m6 to an a4, you have to have a computer with shift points programmed in. so you may have to get a new computer, but idk if it will matter since you're going from shift points to whatever the hell you feel like shifting at. also, since you'll be going from an a4 to an m6, you can definately afford to put some better gears in it.
