Cool engine

what would be easier a ls6 swap into a 98 camaro or a ls3 swap into the 98 camaro?

What are your goals for the car? You can't just roll in and ask a question like that... It's too open ended. Details.

i would guess the ls6 would be easier, that and an ls1 are pretty much the same motor, the ls6 just has some upgrades...heads cam ect.

The LS6 is a DIRECT bolt in an LS3 is NOT.

It is not as simple as a "swap is a swap"

agreed. LS6=LS1 with different heads, cam, and in some cases intake. Other than that, the blocks are *nearly* identical. but if your going to do a swap... just do the LS3, it has WAY more potential.

he said it best, just bear in mind the market for ls1/ls6 parts. not sayin you shouldnt do the ls3 because that would be sick, but when it comes to aftermarket and even factory parts, ls1/ls6 parts will be easier to find and cheaper. i guess your personal budget would be the main thing for you to factor in the decision. ...thats just my opinion anyways.

I would build a stroker motor rather than buy an LS3. More bang for your buck.
