It was a bit raspy stock but I ran 12.6 with it in an A4 car. Now I have a converter and the rasp is gone, in fact the whole thing sounds totally different.
damn that wasnt Catback only was it?

That time was with a 2001 Z28, 93,000 miles, exhaust, lid, I did the A4 build and tuning. And it was run on dried up nitto 450's with a 2.02 60' time.
12.6 at 110.

FWIW I bought this car in Keller, it used to run low 6 second 1/8th's
I posted question about it in the Texas forum a few months ago. It was one of the fastest street cars in the area around 2006(?)
I got it as a roller, the original engine had too much nitrous to it and it had a melt down so they pulled it. Some guy named Matt Hendricks used to own it.
A few people on here knew exactly what car it was.
Not sure what my point is.

Do some research on the trex its a BIG cam and might not be the best choice for your goals. There are smaller cams out there that make great power and it will be alot more driver friendly.

Yeah i does get a lot louder with lt's, especially at WOT. However, I have lt's and high flow cats and it is still really quiet, that's why i had to get an e-cutout.

in my sig you can see that i have hooker CB through my LT with no cats. it is not stainless steel tho. i think it is a pretty mild sounding set up but it does start to scream when you go WOT. but i like the sound of the open cut out better

All the parts inside the muffler are stainless steel. At least thats what they say since we can't see them. It's on their website I think.

Just bought my car last week or so. I saw that the Hooker 3 in Cat-Back was only $350 with free shipping so I decided to get it because my stock hole filled rusty exhaust had to go. Loads better and I must say sounds nice and flows good from what I can tell.

I have this CB paired with a Hooker O/R Y and Hooker 1 3/4 LTs. It is still quiet but has a good tone when you get on it. I added a Electric Cutout to it and couldn't be happier
