Default stock ls1 internals

Ive searched it and i cant find it.how much power will stock internals hold? im looking at a ls1 with a cam and a 100 shot and i dont want to buy a time bomb.ive also seen most people dont buy a forged crank is the stock crank already forged? how much power would U put on a stock ls1? thanks, joe

Crank has been proven to near 1000hp. Stock internals assuming the tune is in spec for it's purpose should be good to 500-550 flywheel without a problem. Cam and 100 shot should be no problem just be sure the valvetrain is up to the task of the camshaft.

yeah dont go cam without upgrading valvetrain components like valve springs and hardened pushrods. an upgraded oil pump is recommended when going with an aggressive cam. as far as the crank, JFM-jr is right, stock crank is pretty strong and can handle a lot

I agree that the stock crank is said to be good to ~1000hp.

500-550 FLYWHEEL however, is VERY conservative IMO. There's ALOT of people that make over 500RWHP without issues with the stock internals.

If the tune is right, and you have the proper supporting components, 550-600 REAR WHEEL can last a long time.

I agree with this post. Many people are well over 500 to the wheels on stock internals for a while without any problems. I'd say 500-550 RWHP, not flywheel, is a more accurate number, assuming the tune in the car is good.
