Über newb question: hydraulics needed for T56?
This might seem very stupid, but what hydraulics do I need for my ls1 t56 third gen fbody swap. All I have is the tranny and stock clutch, pressure plate, flywheel and bellhousing. I have no existing manual components. My car is originally auto.
Thanks

Not a stupid question.
You'll need the pedal assembly and master cylinder. The clutch assembly you have may already have the slave cylinder, if not, you'll need to get it. You'll also need the correct length driveshaft with correct style yokes on each end. Of course, you'll need the hydraulic lines to connect the master and slave cylinders. These may or may not need to be custom bent line.

Cool, thanks for the info.
So, guess I need:
clutch pedal assy($40 j/y)
master cylinder with lines(199 ebay)
slave cylinder(109 ebay)
I was under the impression the stock driveshaft could be used....?
btw, the t56 I am using is a 1996 (LT1)T56 converted to LS1 friendly t56.

Yes, you can use a stock LS1 driveshaft in a third gen. When I upgraded to my 3.5" PST driveshaft on my LS1, we threw my stock driveshaft on my brother's 87 TA M5 with no issues. They also work on LT1s.
