Default WOT Hesitation??

I have 2000 A4 TA and i've noticed the past few days that if i am cruising around 30mph and i put the pedal to the metal it takes 3 to almost 4 seconds for the car to recognize that its wide open throttle and then it finally hauls ***. Its never been so slow to react before, why now? I haven't done any mods or anything like that. The only thing that i think might affect it would be the fuel injector cleaner i put in about 2 weeks ago ( but i don't see that doing anything). Do you guys have any ideas??

x2 what's your transmission doing? does it just unlock the converter and take a while to shift?

My transmission seems to be fine. I checked the fluid a few weeks ago when i pulled it out of the garage, and it shifts great when driving like normal. But it does seem to take longer than normal to shift when i punch it though. It doesn't happen everytime i do it. But lately it has been doing it more often.

Is it a hesitation or stumble? If the latter, it could very well be a set of bad plug wires. When they're old, the spark will arch and cause a stumble under hard throttle. Mine did that when I got it.
