Default Confused...

I have poly motor mounts that i will be installing this weekend with headers/ory/exhaust. I understand that they are inserts and they go into the clamshell, but what i don't get is that how do you get the old mounts out of the clamshell? The instructions say use a torch, Is there any other way? Also do i have to completely take the mount out also? Thanks for the help

My stock mounts came right out but I only have 30k on the clock and It's a garage queen. Some times the rubber gets stuck in the clam shell and burning it out is usually the way of removing all the left over mount. You can also use a wire wheel on a angle grinder too. https://ls1tech.com/forums/new-ls1-o...lamshells.html

You think i will have to use a torch to take them out though?

The tourch might be needed if the rubber is realy stuck to the clam shell. Try a grinder first if that doesnt work tourch it then hit them again with the grinder and some paint.
