Well got the Camaro going finally and about to take out $3,500 loan to add some fun and build a little credit in the proccess. The car is completly stock and i want to know what everyone has found to be the best bang for your buck combos with out really breaking into the motor.

that will set him back a grand.... No argument that they sound amazing, but kinda pricey. I'd skip that and do a cam with supporting mods.

Taking out a loan to put goodies into a car doesn't seem like a good idea...

yea im just trying to build some credit up and this just seems like a fun way to do it. i also have a complete LS1 i took out of this car that vapor locked one cylinder so im guessing it will need a new piston and rod on that cylinder? im thinking about building that motor up then just swapping it. anyone have any idea of what it would cost to just replace it with factory parts? or would it be cheaper to just go after market?

Great list but the FAST and GMMG aren't really even close to being the best bang for the buck, especially if he doesn't want to touch the motor. Performance-wise I'd go with the list above but replace the FAST with a ported tb, and replace the GMMG/ORY with a true dual setup. That gives you at least an extra $1500 to spend on a good clutch and some sticky tires.

What are the "Lt's, ORY, and gmmg things though? havent heard of any of that?

Pick up two powersticks and have a local muffler shop fabricate you a true dual exhaust setup with the powersticks for half the price of the GMMG, and nearly identical sound.

Although you have said you don't want to touch the engine sooner or later you will. You are taking out a sizeable loan so you might as well do a budget H/C setup.

LT's= Long Tube headers, ORY= Off Road Y-pipe, GMMG is a very nice cat-back exhaust but it's also very expensive and wont make any more power than a true dual setup. Most true duals will cost about half of what a catback/ory combo will and wont make the same power. It would be a good idea to do the LT's and TD's at the same time so you dont have to use any adapters to make the exhaust fit on stock manifolds. LT/TD swap is by far the biggest gain I've felt out of anything I've done, sounds amazing too.

i would recommend the Texas Speed combo. Pacesetter Longtubes that feed into a true dual setup with dynomax bullets. You can have them put sweet thunder chambered mufflers on there for a few more $$$

Yup that combo is probably the cheapest you will find anywhere and will make as much, if not more (compared to a catback) power than any other setup on a bolt-on car.
