Default I need a visual, jacking up car

whats the safest point in our fbodies to jack up the car? Is it the black parts running along the underside? No, right? lol Its somewhere by the door and the wheel but i'd like a picture if anyone will be kind enough to give one. This is the first time I'm jacking up the car and I don't want to die/hurt my car. I just have an AC delco jack like this:

^ thanks... the pictures are a little small.. i'll have to keep looking at them. i'm doing this to take off the side skirts so i don't need that much room.

also it says the kmember... but in the booklet it says something like by the wheel. i would like to know the place where to change the tire, because like i said i don't need that much room

like if you are using the factory jack to change a tire? well then if you look on the side between the front and rear tires there is like a little cut out where the small factory jack lip fits right in there i think it might even say place jack here. youll see what im talking about

use the K member to jack the front up, and the back use the pumpkin and put jackstands under. But on the sides dont jack it up by the little tabs that look like pinch welds, or your fenders might bulge out alittle bit. A shop did that to mine and almost completely broke the tabs off.

Where would you suggest from the sides?
Along the frame about a foot in?

that is the best spot in the front, but in the rear on the ten bolt is the best spot.

have fun jacking the front of the car up with that jack. you won't be able to get it past the radiator air deflector. drive up on pieces of wood that are 2"x8".

I agree, that's a quick easy way. A good set of ramps to drive the front up on are the best bet. Like for changing the oil, etc. And the same ramps can be used for backing up on to change the fuel filter or rear end fluid.

Be careful with that jack and do not try to raise the car by using any part of the side rails. The front fenders are plastic. There is no good place to jack the car from the side. Even with the stock scissor jack, you better put it in the right place. The fenders can go sproing and the gaps between the door and front fender will get out of whack, or you can even break something.

Been there, and did it.
