grinding noise

grinding noise 2000 z28, 130,000 miles good condition, but im getting this grinding noise from the rear end (only when i try to take off) from a standstill with any type of authority, goes right away though, i only hear it when i try to launch hard, is the rear end going

could also be your ypipe banging. my stock ypipe was banging on my floorboard. after i put my tds on, the noise went away, and it sounds like the way you were explaining it. only from a stop or slow roll, if you slam it, it makes the noise.

i dont think, had on lift last week getting new exhaust tips welded on, had guy check out exhaust system, it was pretty solid
