383 stroker Im thinking about building a 383 stoker but not sure if it would be worth the cost. Here is a list of my mods:
LS6 intake
LS6 heads
LS6 cam
SLP headers+exhaust
8 psi procharger.
would I have to change anything as far as heads and and cam? an what kind of hp gains can you see on a stock motor? Let me know what you guys think, thanks for the help.

Is your procharger the P1 or the D1? If you have the d1 and the $$$ go for the 383. I dont know if the p1 head unit will have the cfm to support 383ci. Power gain??? With forged internals and a 383ci you can up the boost and and make 600-700 rwhp no problem. If you keep the ls6 heads I would get pistons with a prety good dish. If you have the money get a set of the lq9/6.0l 72cc heads and the dish in the piston wont have to be as big. You want to try to be in the 9.0-9.5 compression ratio range. Cam I would go a little bigger for a 383ci.
