11s Hey guys, I am trying to run 11s with all bolt ons. I have the mods in my sig, and i am wonderin if you guys think i could hit 11s with the addation of Hooker LT's, ASP crank pully some nitton DR"s and a good tune

Re: 11s No doubt you could. A good density altitude and a Grade A hookin' track would help of course.
I ran 11.82 with bolt-ons, a TCI 3500, 3.23 gears, and NO weight reduction. You can do it too.

Re: 11s Colonel, I am shooting for 12.7s or better. My car is a 2000 Z28 M6 with O2 sims, off road Y-pipe, loudmouth, whisper lid, K&N, and hurst short shifter. Thats all I know of anyway. The guy before me did alot to it, but what I dont know.

Re: 11s Snake Eater, your biggest challenge with that M6 is going to come in the first 20 ft of the track. Get some hookin' tires and then spend lots of time learning to launch. A good clutch would be a very wise investment. Next up would be a 12-bolt rear with some serious gears (maybe 4.10s.)

thanks did you see the article in chevy peformance about tq arms there was a guy in ther with a verry un modded car (engine wise) running high 11 just due to good suspension he was getting wheels up launches on mickys do you think with your setup i could go wheels up on 335 nittos and id prolly do a tq arm?

Yes....but you'll need a damn good hooking track.
I had the front left up a little on the low 1.6 passes (315/35/17). The only suspension mod was the LCA relocators. The car is lowered 1.5". The front swaybar was even intact.

Colonel, you seem to have much expirence with this. My goal is to hit low 11s. Mods in sig. Alos, over the winter, i plan to add LCA relocation brackets, LCA, new wheels with DRs on the back, and an LSX intake. do you think I will be capable of low 11s? Or anyone else think that for that matter?
BTW, my cam is similar to the TR224, but more agressive...

I think low 11s might be out of your reach at this point. With an M6 running NA, you really need some gear to get out of the hole.

hey colonel, what are the odds of a n/a m6 breaking into the 11's with the nittos, 4.10's, pulley and the rest of the stuff i have in my signature. i know a A4 with a good verter can do it, but how hard is it for a m6

I think it will be fairly hard, because of the launch. Also you are running out of mods w/o going inside the motor. Your best mod would prob be a built 4l60e. j/k man, M6s are fun as hell but they are limited after you get down into the 12s with bolt ons. Good Luck tho man

Smokin', you ran 112 MPH before the 4.10s and TB. Considering those mods and some good weather and you're looking at 114 MPH. That spells 11s with a good launch. So much is going to depend on your driving ability and your track condition. You can knock off some SERIOUS ET by getting that 2.26 down to some 1.7-1.8s and that is certainly doable with Nittos on a descent track.
