I've never ran carb cleaner through a motor? I suppose there is a write up somewhere I can find on how to do it...

Even with stock gearing it should break all kinds of sideways. These guys gave some good ideas on how to tune it up. Once you start putting more power to the ground, those 2.73's will spin more than a lower gear.

Yea and if your worried about gas mileage so much as mentioned in a previous post of yours, you should have just gotten a m6? m6's always get better gas mileage and going from 2.73s to the 3.23s for the auto wont hurt your mileage that much to begin with.

Thanks for all the info guys... Seems to be running better now that I found that problem with the intake. Besides that I went ahead and cleaned throttle body and shot some of the carb cleaner too.... I suppose when half of the tubing for the intake is disconnected you can find some performance problems thanks for all the help! this forum is great!!!!

Seafoam it if you want to clean carbon out of your motor. chocotaco gives a pretty good how to writeup.

Basically you disconnect your PVC or brake booster line and suck it in til your car knocks off. let it sit 20-30 minutes to break down gunk and fire it up and watch the smokeshow. Prolly a good idea to change plugs after this if you get lots of smoke.... Search it if search is up or pm me and I'll find you a chevytalk link if you are interested......

it depends if your air leak was behind the MAF or before it, it will affect performance if it was behind it. like i said, if it isnt running good after a tune up, do a compression test!!!

Anyway just glad I didn't drive like that too long. Couldn't have been like that too long though..

Sorry and my Traction control is not on... Is the carb cleaner a safe solution?
this would have no effect, but running w/o a filter isn't good at all.

You're asking too much. You don't want the tires to spin anyway. These cars just aren't tire-friers from the factory. Their quick, but the LT1 and TPI engines were better at lighting up the rubber.

Stall it. Then see what happens. Ha!

373 and a stall converter should help that out
