Well, that was easy! Changed the oil today. The only issue I had was that the filter was very very tight. I had to stick a screw driver in the filter to turn it. The oil was the worst oil I've ever seen in a car. Very dirty. I bought the car and haven't drove it yet. Waiting for the roads to get nice. Now the car has new oil and a new filter. Should run better. The woman I bought the car from had a tornado fuel saver in the stock lid tube. I found that out when I put the slp lid on. So I knew I had some work to do to the car. I think I saved a LS-1. Who knows how bad it might have got.lol

i would say buy the cheapest oil possible then just fill it until it comes out the top of the filler neck. guaranteed 20,000 miles

I would be worried about smackin something with the bottom of the filter being lower than the pan and headers.

I use the larger mobil 1 filter (M1-206) and with that I use 6 quarts of oil. Car is going to burn some oil anyway, so even with regular filter I would put 6 quarts.

Actually i have already smacked a hole in one. Stray rock on the driveway, had to change the oil right there in the dirt.
