if its not your daily driver, i wouldnt run one at all. if you get ticketed for no front plate, its a simple, no point, non-moving violation (insurance doesnt go up). i payed $25 for a no front plate ticket.

other people have mounted their plate on the front air dam underneath the car. but if you want to play it safe, i suggest you get the slp plate holder; atleast you wont have to drill into your ss grill

Well SLP makes a license plate bracket kit so you can have a front plate but obviously a front plate looks like ***. I'd just get used to paying the tickets if I were you

I ran no plate for a while until I got pinched twice in 3 days for it!

I made my own sheet metal holder like the SLP one for nothing with scrap I had in the shop... Its mounted low enough it doesnt block the entire nose of the car...but high enough cops cant touch me.

Anyone here from Texas? I have buddies that dont have front plate on their car and they get popped all the time. The last guy payed over $100.00 for it. It really depends on the judge. Most of the time you have to pay court cost and such but you still have to take time off work. the messed up part of it all is that it doesnt matter what kind of car you have (ie corvette) they wont pass inspection either, unless u know someone. ;-)

I hate front plates and refuse to put one on... even though I will likely get pulled over for not having it sooner or later. But im willing to pay up for not having it since I am breaking a law.

Is it bad that I would be unwilling to move to a state that required a front license plate?

It really just dependds on the area you live in. I been front plate-less for over a year now and have never had an issue.

Yea I picked up the SLP plate brcket.. You can either get it directly from slp for 60 bucks or from ws6store for 20 bucks lol. Makes alot of sence right . It would look alot better without but I got tired of rolling the dice everytime I passed a cop...especially in these times cops are pulling people over for anything to raise funds.

You revived a thread for what seems to be irrelevant information.

I put mine on the front air dam on my old 94 Z. The plate went through hell because the car was lowered a little more than 2" but it survived. The law in Ohio(car is registered in OH but I'm stationed in NC) states it has to be forward facing and on the front of the vehicle. This way covers both
