Default Cloudy headlights.

Is there anyway to get them clear without having to resort to buying another set, or those damned halos?

Thanks, your friendly neighborhood ricer.

Wet sanding with Micro Mesh works well. Get the variety pack. You'll want grits from around 1500 to 8000. Start with the coarse grit and work your way up. It takes a bit of elbow grease but it comes out very nice. Then hit it with a finishing polish. Crystal clear!

Just go back over them with the finer grits like Shevrolay said

In the future, keep them waxed to help prevent this issue from happening again.

I just did mine a couple days ago, and just used Mothers Wax( the one that has the Oxidation Remover). Did about 3-5 coats and it just started to clear up more and more.

what i did is the following, if they are really yello do this...
take 600 grit wet to the lights and make sure to sand only one way from left to right, then take 1000 grit the same way, then take 2000 grit the same way, after with a heavy compound and your cloth pad take it to the lights, then get a lighter compound lowest abrasive posible with a foam red pad, then finish off with some wax i have some pix here of my buddies i did i the pixture you will see i compare them to the lights on my car his were 10 times worse

I was Advance Auto yesterday and they sell two kinds of lense refinisher and had a set of before and after lenses. Looked pretty effective.

I sanded mine with 400-600 then 1000 then 1500 till it was nice and smooth and I could tell there were no imperfections.

wiped em with a tack cloth and sprayed em with about 3-4 coats of clear.

I'm not a heavy buffing fan.

Believe it or not, the headlight restorer kits they sell at wal-mart work really well. Mine were cloudy as hell when I got the car, and it took like 10 minutes, and they look a million times better.
