Yea, most people, who race atleast, don't use TC. If it is your DD in wet conditions though, I could see it being used.

Just use your right foot as traction control. I have a bolt on LS1 m6 and I dont have traction control. I drove through a pittsburgh winter without it, so I dont see why it is needed.

I'm glad I do not have TC for that factor alone. It would be ok if it didn't turn on every time you turned the car on again.

There is a device you can install that will reverse that. It will be off when you start the car, you turn it on when you want it on.

The traction control is nasty. It clamps the rear disc brakes on to minimize wheel spin, so if you launch that bad boy and forget to turn off the traction control....all that stress goes into your clutch and rear end. I added the SLP module that automatically turns it off when I key the car over. Easy to search and find it on the SLP site. It is not as clean as having it tuned out with EFI Live or something similar...but it is way cheaper than buying the software or paying someone to do it with software.

Adding traction control makes about as much sense as bolting a big *** on a beautiful woman.

Even the term "traction control" is misleading. It's not like an active handling sort of thing you might find in higher end cars. It doesn't help with anything. It's actually pretty crude and you won't like it. Mine is always off and I don't even turn it on when driving in the snow. I find that it keeps me from controling the car rather than helping to control it.

I dont think thats how it works. It closes/adjusts the throttle body when it detects wheelspin. You can feel it in the gas pedal when it happens. Clamping the rear brakes just sounds dangerous.

I had to pull out into 65mph traffic once, coming off a dirt road. A spot opened up so I gave it a good amount of gas, wheels started to spin a bit and the TCS kicked in.. bogging me down while in front of oncoming traffic. I kept slamming the gas in a panic but it wouldn't go. All TCS does is kick the pedal back at you for a couple seconds and you can't go anywhere, it's stupid and can sometimes be dangerous.

And pulling out into 65mph traffic isn't.

he probably visualized the tail end swinging out and still thrusting him forward as he kept the throttle pinned and made a simple correction to keep the car straight... like in the video games. (jk)

i hit the ASR button a lot to turn it off (like everyone who chimed in), but it is nice to have if i want to get on the throttle from a stop while entering a turn with cars next to me (like turning left onto a freeway onramp). you never know when there's that little bit of dirt or oil that may allow the back end to kick out a bit. i find that in this specific case, (compared to what i'd do without it) the asr notices the slip sooner and makes cleaner corrections without making other drivers around me **** themselves.
also helps when driving around in the rain with a stall, r compound road race tires, or slicks that don't grip well in the wet.

other than accelerating through corners from a stop when next to traffic, i can't see too much use for it. its not like the more complex system(s?) in the vette.

My car came with traction control... and I hate it. Every single time I start the car I push the button to turn it off, no matter the weather... its like a habit now.
With that said I have no idea why you would wanna add TC.

for a weekend car, its worthless. for someone that DD's in all kinds of weather, its nice to have. only time i really liked it was in deep snow, or really icy conditions.

as for the OP's question, it could be addded but it would be alot of work. there is a TSC module under the dash, the TCS motor under the hood (by battery). the underhood engine harness are diff as well as the interior harness's, brake lines, and rearend (4 channel). i wouldn't consider even trying to install it.
