I remember buying my SS..
Its an automatic and the fastest car ive ever owned. I came from a 2001 Firehawk with a 98 engine and electrical problems, to a 1991 Trans Am with an L98 engine. The camaro has been my favorite so far.
Moments after brining it home, tint was the first thing. 15% and the car looked beautiful. Two weeks later and a cheap free trip to the salvage yard and the car was fixed with a new battery box, new fender liner. Another week later and the car was fit with new tires. Perfect.
I remember upgrading the Lid, it put a huge smile on my face as i buried the pedal and feeling the seat of the pants difference just how much difference a little bit of extra air can make going into the engine.
The transmission is blown now, the engine is knocking, and the car still sits beautiful in my driveway now knowing what is about to happen to it. I finally decided that if im going to tear into it, I might as well put back in something more powerful then what came out. My dream is coming true.
I have aquired a few new things for the SS in the past 3 months that are going to completely change this car.
I have aquired the following for the car in the past month.
Performabuilt Stage 2 4L60E
Yank PT4400
Trans Cooler
SLP Lid
Pacesetter Long Tubes (Race Version)
Pacesetter ORY
Magnaflow Catback
QTP e-Cutout
Patriot Stage 2 heads
Patriot Gold Springs (.650")
FAST 90 intake
cam (unknown decision)
ARP Rod Bolts
Finally my dream has come true for a heads/cam/intake/stall car. Its still not running yet, one step at the time, but in the end it will all be worth waiting for. I know I wont be dissapointed, and so far I havent been yet, even with the car in its stock form. Props to GM and its developers for such an awesome engine platform.
