ls1 ls4 ls6??
whats the difference between these engines?? Is it the materials used or just the size of the bore and stroke?? Also have anotherone. I heard of a rule of thumb that you should retard the timing 4 deegres for every 100 shot of nos. Do you have to installsomething or the pcm autmatically compensates for you?? yeah im kinda new in all this and the question may look stupid but any help is apreciated.

about your timing question you'd have to do it yourself as far as i know. you'd use predator or ls1edit to change it.

ls1 - stock motor found in corvette, camaro z28/ss, firebird formula(98+), trans am, t/a ws6.
ls6 - ls1 variant found in corvette z06. different heads/camshaft. different engine block(stronger, some sort of porting?). pushes an extra 40-50hp.
you must be confusing lt4 with the ls series motors. the lt1 and the lt4 were the previous generations of motors, with similar differences between the two ls motors. check out the n20 section for nos info. i'm not well read on nos so i don't want to steer you wrong. hope this helps.
