Stick to a catback and intake, nothing else is really worth it. Why not just save up for an ls1 powered car? If you really wanna swap you need the entire drive train

You'd almost be better selling it and spending a little extra for an Ls1 car. You'd spend that much swapping it over anyways.

Cut the OP some slack. There are some 3800's runnin 10's, of course, they're no where near stock and running hellacious amounts of boost! But just cause he's got a v6 is no reason to ostracize the poor guy. Maybe they couldn't afford/find/or just didn't want a v8.

To the OP: an LS1 swap would definitely be fun and great for a street sleeper! As far as a place to go for beefin' up your v6...I'd try a google search if that's the route you wanna go.

Don't see how we were hard on him at all. Simply telling the truth that he'd be better off starting with a v8

no need for an ls1 powered car... i owned a v6 firebird and it was plenty fast for me... Add intake, do full exhaust (headers through cutout), nice stall if A4, and most of all tune it... and get that dang governor off too... Trust me, you will feel the gain
do some suspension and visual mods later on too (wheels, tint)

im thinking of getting me a v6 bird for dd actually.... again
