Default I wonder...

I saw a thread a day or two ago and someone was talking about a sewing machine noise from the engine/maybe rocker arms or something. mine make noise when you driving along and you get into it a little for like a half a second. kinda sewing machine sound. I was told the heads were ported and polished, i haven't pulled the intake to see. If they were, i wonder if the valve lash didn't get set right when they put the heads back on. Any ideas?

the LS1 has a loud valvetrain, very common. It is louder at startup, esp. when cold, and should go away as it reaches operating temps

it does it all the time, it has the piston slap going on it pretty bad in the winter but this is pretty regular and Rpm does not matter.
