Default Vacuum leak

If my car is idling at 2k in park, and 1k in drive...(assuming its a vacuum leak)...would it be okay to drive it? I'm not talking about never fixing the problem, but to a shop maybe 20-30 minutes away?

What problems can a vacuum leak cause?
