Awesome camaro site! That answers most of the questions. Now how the heck do we get our SLP build numbers? (for all of us SS/WS6 guys)

Call SLP.
BTW, the Firehawk is SLP, and the WS6 is ASC.

Most of the options in a car are listed in the RPO codes on the back panel of the drivers door. Not in the VIN, at least that is what I think I've learned. It's very likely that I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that RPO codes are where its at. Like WU8 means SS, the GU codes (GU2, GU3, GU6) are rearend gears, and so forth. Z28 means.... well.... its obvious.

About the SLP/ASC build numbers, SLP Engineering is now the same as SLP performance. So I called SLP on-line, they transferred me, and voila, I got my build number without any problems after giving them my VIN, they were very quick and friendly. Laters.

Just ran the vin on mine and it says it was made in Canada. That was a shock since I bought it in Houston, Texas.
Was quit informative though.

There was only 1 factory for the 4th generation Camaro's; the Ste. Therese, Quebec. Canada which was the only factory that built the cars.

The Van Nuyes closed down before the 4th gens.
