Can you? Yeah... but it's not worth it. It's a waste of money. You should just get long tubes.

Why do you wanna use shortys? They are proven to only provide a hair more hp and if you want to get rid of cats then its going to be easier with long tubes rather then with shortys as you will need to run more pipe for them.

LT's trump shorties FTW...not worth imho. Just spend 50-100 dollars more on pacesetter or drop a little more dough on some hooker super comps.

the 2001/2002 had better factory exhaust manifolds than my 99. so you wouldn't gain very much with shorties over your stock (probably 5 rwhp max) if its legal where you live get long tubes. keep in mind its best to get a tune otherwise you could run a little lean A/F after changing. my coated jet hots (same as hooker) have decent ground clearance and still look GREAT!

LT's or nothing. especially if you are ditching the cats. read up in the exhaust section... 01/02 stock manifolds flow as good as shorties.

Mids arent a bad idea either, some people go with those for better ground clearance. They make pretty good power too. I got a great deal on the mids that I have, but Ill be getting LT's when that time comes
