shorty headers?

id it possible to run shorty headers on the 02 SS Camaro? im wanting to eliminate the catalytic converters so i can run true duals, but i also want to run shorty headers. can anybody enlighten me please?

Why do you wanna use shortys? They are proven to only provide a hair more hp and if you want to get rid of cats then its going to be easier with long tubes rather then with shortys as you will need to run more pipe for them.

the 2001/2002 had better factory exhaust manifolds than my 99. so you wouldn't gain very much with shorties over your stock (probably 5 rwhp max) if its legal where you live get long tubes. keep in mind its best to get a tune otherwise you could run a little lean A/F after changing. my coated jet hots (same as hooker) have decent ground clearance and still look GREAT!
