Problems with a 2000 Camaro? I've recently been looking at used cars, and I've been strongly leaning towards a 98-02 Camaro SS. Now, a friend of mine told me that the 00 model was something I should avoid, but I seem to find a lot of 00 SS' for sale. My question is, is the 00 Camaro really inferior to the other years of that generation, and if so, by how much? I don't plan on leaving the car stock, and if it's a problem I could somewhat easily fix, would it be worth it?

the 2001 has the ls6 intake manifold stock and a milder cam thats bout the only difference I can think of where as the 2000 has the ls1 intake manifold and a bit more agressive cam
The MYTH on here is to avoid the 98's. The 01-02 did have the LS6 IM and better rod bolts but I would (and did) just get the nicest 98-02 car you can regardless of year. An LS1 is a LS1 is a LS1.......
