stock SS exhaust questions?

stock SS exhaust questions? Hi, i'm thinking about replacing the stock muffler with some other type of muffler for performance however I know the SS comes with 3" exhaust and different tips, is the muffler still restrictive though?; or is it different then a stock z28? what mufflers can plug right up to the stock ss piping?

The first question is what exhaust does the car have on it because there were 2 systems available for the SS the stock sysytem is the same as a WS6. 2.75" Intermediate pipe with 2.5" round polished tips the optional system is the SLP Dual Dual which is 3" and has 2.5" dual dual tips
