if you wanted to procharge your car.
id still go with the 408 stroker if your looking for INSANE amounts of power.
but if not get the D1-SC run 8lbs. nice little head and cam set up. maybe the LS6 heads and cam? yea it should be a fast little streetcar.
the trans youll prolly have to beef up a little bit. 3500 stahl, shift kit, or just buy a TH400 and be done with trans problems for a long long time.
rearend get a moser 9" with 4.11 gear. 4.11 gear will really get up and go unless you trying to go fast as in top speed. the 3.42 should be able to get the wheels off the ground but im not to sure on that one.

and no i don't really know the difference between superchargers... if anyone would care to explain i'd much appreciate it

as i said, i'm not the most knowledgable..... and for the most part i'm going for something thats going to be fun to build kinda thing, not something i take to a shop and pay them to install, NA seemed the way to go for that...
yea man... a procharger will leave you PLENTY of room to grow.. when your bottom end went, or ring land #5.. you could just buy a forged 347... you could then turn the boost up to around 15 #s and make around 700rwhp...

there is full write ups in the FI section.. twin screw, roots, centrifugal..

a procharger install isnt that hard.. just make sure you dont get one that you have to do fabbing on..

you can make INSANE power with a D1SC and a 347 also.. there is a local guy we know that is running low 5s in the 1/8 with one... if you dont consider that insane, i dont know what is..
i would go with a 4l80e... more money but you would retain all the comforts..
if your going to procharge id stick with a 3.90 gear..

well yeah i know you can make some power with the 347 and the D1. but a 408 with the F1 procharger is INSANE somebody is pushing like 900rwhp on a 408/F1 setup...ohhh yea the 3.90 gear is good too i forgot all the gearing that is out there... but yea go with what lemons12 is saying that sounds the best forged 347 on 15lbs. good ****. get a rollbar or cage. 5 pt. harness and HOLY **** is what your gonna say when you mash on the gas pedal that or just **** on yourself HAHAHHA

true that true that.. but a 408 with an F1 is capable of easily hitting 1000rwhp and up... thats just stupid... for what he wants it would just be wasted money..

1000 rwhp is insane gotta get the TH400 or get a well built T56 if your a six speed kinda guy.
the best thing or well the cheapest and most effecient either stay stock of forged 347 with the D1-SC

yes, anything with the right suspension and 400rwhp will bring the wheels up.

the best way ive found is take some 5.3 heads bore em down take a comp cam ls6 intake and get better valve springs and it will get you close but youll need to bore throttle body out and go bigger

I'm kinda leaning toward the centrifugal blower action as opposed to cubes too. I can shell out a lot of stock LS1s having fun with a supercharger as opposed to the $12k outlay for an LS7 or similar buildup. Be advised that even 400rwhp plays havoc with stock drivetrain parts.
Hell, maybe even a stock-ish 6.2 liter..

well lets see..

i had a better intake, better flowing heads, a huge *** cam, full exhuast, etc etc etc...
i didnt hit 500rwhp, not close..

have a buddy with an f13.. 5.3 heads.. ls6 intake.. full exhaust, yada yada yada....

GUESS WHAT! he didnt even hit 400rwhp..

so, no... that will not work..

to even consider 500rwhp a figment of your inagination your going to have to go AFR or the like.. custom grind.. ported 92/92 or better.. etc etc etc...

has been proven by plenty of people..

Quickest/Cheapest way to get 500hp N/A is VTEC!!

well you can start messing with your motor like that but you are going to have to start upgrading your tranny, and rear end among other things... at least i would because if not thier going to start wearing out...
but as far as your question i think if i could do it over again, i would do a magna or pro charger... ive never mest with that kind off stuff... yet... but to me it seems like your car would be more reliable than if you had started braking in the motor and all that kind off stuff... but thats just my opinion..

yea something like that..

i was at 425... dyno read low.. but even on a "normal" dyno i would have been at max 450rwhp...

was running 10.9s-11.2s though.

times are all that matters..
