Default check engine light

i have a 95 lt1 that has a check engine light on. my car has to spin over for a few seconds (like 10) before it will start. and also my a/c has quit blowing cold since this hapened... i took it to the shop and the said my computor was bad.. so i replaced it and it didnt fix anything... any ides??? thanks

Take it to autozone. They scan SES codes for free and tell you exactly what is wrong. Bring that info to a shop and have them fix that, and that only.

You got taken for a ride on replacing your computer. That shop ripped you bad. If your computer was bad, nothing on your car would work. (at least I think)

when these computers go bad everything seems to die.. lol

You need to find out what the code(s) is to help nail it down. You CAN'T go to autozone and get it read - the '95 has an OBDII DLC port, but OBDI PCM. Hope they didn't tell you the PCM was bad because they were using the wrong scanner. Needs to be scanned with an OBDI tool.

I'd still try autozone or advance as many that I've gone to still have the OBD I tool.

Same here. My old cammy was a '95 and I went to autozone to get codes checked before with np at all.

it would blow if thats why they thought the pcm was bad

if thats why they thought the pcm was bad thats grounds for a refund or some legal action.
