Default Help me pick headers

Hey guys, I just bought my MTI lid and now I'm looking at buying headers. I want lt's and I'll be running true duals. What kind of prices can I expect and where is best to buy ? What lt's do I need ? I'm considering kooks and jet hot. I'll be removing the cats also if that helps. Thanks for the help!

Pacesetter longtubes and a texas speed ORY to replace your cats. Ive had them on my car for a while and show no signs of wear. Best bang for the buck!

Also I'm going to go with 1-7/8" diameter so I need to make sure Pacesetter offers it ?

Pacesetters only come in 1-3/4" .

Texas Speed has some new nice looking 1-7/8's headers.

Get a piece of paper and a pen, start going through the sponsers and write down each name and price for the header you want and go from there.

Also keep checking the classifieds as well.

I just bought a set of Hookers, and they look sexy as hell.

i have jethots... they are really nice and tuck up pretty good... no fitment issues and were fairly easy to install... they are the same design as the hooker but have the jethot coating on them... price wise the pacesetters will be the cheapest but if you have a little more to spend i'd definitely give jethot/hooker a look... i got a really good deal on mine so it was a no brainer for me

Are the jethots available in 1-7/8's ? I'm just trying to find all my options and decide from that point.

Kooks or ARH are the best if you can afford them.

ARH gets my vote. Awesome set of headers. I think Bassani makes a X pipe to run true duals I am pretty sure I heard good things about them if it is the one I am thinking of. I can only comment on the headers since I have a LM 2. I was torn between Kooks and ARH both I think are great looking headers that offer quality made parts.

First headers I've done on a 4th gen so I can't compare, but my ARHs fit like a dream. No pulling the starter, oil filter, nothing...just went right in from the bottom. Definitely available in 1 7/8". I presume you're doing more mods in the near future if you're going 1 7/8?

my coated jethots (same as hooker) are fantastic! i wanted cats and did not like the removable cats because they slip inside the Y pipe and wont pass a visual test. the ground clearance was better than i expected. ps your orig cats have platinum inside so dont throw away!

i have the bassani true duals mated to my jethot lt's with no cats... it will take a little fabbing to get the bassani bolted to lt's since the system is made to bolt to stock manifolds... it sounds really really good... it's very quiet while cruising but it screams over 2500rpms

I went with a set of Flowtech 2 years ago which were 1 3/4 headers. then I stepped up to Kooks 1 7/8 headers. big difference there. much better flow over any 1 3/4 headers, but I also have TSP x-pipes too

The ARH will be the best fitting and easiest install if you go 1 7/8.
