Default small filters on AIR pump?

Can i throw one of those small breather air filters on the end of my AIR tube when putting a new lid on? Will this cause me any problems? I figure it's the same thing as pulling it from the stock lid...but i could be wrong.

when I bought my lid when it was otherwise stock it came with a small breather/ filter for the pump.

So yes you can use a small breather on it.

Yes if your lid doesn't come with one... Your local autoparts store should have a couple choices.. You many have to use a razor to make it fit but it shouldn't be too hard
