What godawful noise did my car just decide to start making??!?

Got the video to load, maybe I'm deaf, but all I heard was valvetrain noise...

Also, I still wonder why the cats were replaced. Like I said, if "they" didn't fix whatever made the cats go bad, then it'll just need another set down the road again.

Has the engine been cleaned or detailed lately? I ask because it sounds to me like one of the pulley bearings might have been contaminated. That's exactly what it sounded like on my dads grand prix right before it spun it off.

Nope. Never cleaned it, to be honest, I don't know how.

It's supposed to have that much clacking?

We were guessing it was raced a lot early on. Especially given that the plugs/fuel pump were done too.

Could be that they thought the cats were clogged, and it turned out to be the pump dying as well - both have similar symptoms.

It stopped. :wtf:

Sounded perfect today after sitting for 2 days... heck, the exhaust didn't even rattle.

Give it some time and see what happens..if it's something major a Rod will decide to drain the Oil for you.
