Wheel size question
"FITMENT: Fits stock 4th generation Camaros 1993 - 2002 and stock Firebird & 4th generation Trans Am - 1993 - 2002
MAKE: Corvette
PRODUCT: Z07 Style Deep Dish
FRONT WHEEL SIZE: 17x9.5
FRONT WHEEL OFFSET: 54mm
REAR WHEEL SIZE: 18x10.5
REAR WHEEL OFFSET: 56mm
BOLT PATTERN: 5-120.65 "
Altought advertised as fits fine,I have some questions/doubts:
1 With different wheel diameters will ABS become inop?
Or can I compensate by using different tiresize height so that circumference stays the same for e-circuits( etc.see Q4 pse.)
2.How will different wheel sizes affect driving, behaviour of the vehicule.
3 Do I need to do BFH mod for 18x10,5 in the rear.
4 Anyone advice which size tires for these wheels?
In other words go or no go ?
Thanks and Greetz from Amsterdam,Holland.
2. just get tires that are the same diameter and you'll have no problems
3. No, just get a 1/8"-1/4" spacer for the rear if they rub
4. 275/45/17 and 295/40/18
As far as I know, as long as you stay within the 18" parameter, you shouldn't need any adjustments to your fuel/braking systems, and shouldn't have to worry about rub. I have 18" Z06s on mine, AND a body kit, and my ground clearance is very close to stock. Not that I DO, but I can cozy up to most curbs/parking blocks without rubbing a bit.
